Basil M.K. Al-Ghalayini

is the Chairman and CEO of BMG Financial Group (“ BMG”). Previously, he was Managing Director at The International Investor, London, UK, and before, he was with the Investment Management Division of The National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah and London. Since BMG’s inception, Al-Ghalayini has been acting as team leader for equity and debt capital market transactions such as Rights Issues, IPOs, and Private Placements, as well as leading a government-mandated assignment for the comprehensive review of the insurance sector to  arrive at a set of recommendations for the sector’s eventual consolidation. He is also a frequent participant in official business delegations representing the private sector of Saudi Arabia. He is the Chairman of Akar One, Chairman of Al Ghalayini Fountains, and the Chairman of BMG Foundation.

Previously, Al-Ghalayini was the Chairman of the Authorized Persons 5th Committee (Advisors and Arrangers) and was a Capital Markets Institutions Committee board member for two terms. He was the Secretary General of the Arab Bankers Association of the United Kingdom, Vice Chairman of the Saudi British Businessmen Council, and Chairman of the Saudi Syrian Businessmen Council.

Al Ghalayini received his B.Sc. degree from King Saud University, KSA, CSS from Harvard University, USA, and IMD from London Business School, UK

 


Abdulaziz Ibrahim AlNabhan is currently the Chairman and CEO of AJA Holding Company (since 2009) and a Director of BMG Financial Group in Saudi Arabia (since 2010), following a distinguished career where he served as Managing Director at Al-Ahlia Investment Co., Chairman and Managing Director of Burgan Bank (2000–2003) including tenure as Chairman (1997–2003) during its privatization, President of Kuwait Projects Company (Holding) – KIPCO (1988–2000), Manager of Marketable Securities at Kuwait Real Estate Investment Consortium (1987–1988), and Senior Dealer at Gulf Bank (1984–1987), complemented by extensive international directorships including holding Chairman of the Dragon Fund and Director of Europhenix Management Company in Luxembourg, as well as Board positions in the USA (United Gulf Management, Hunter Capital Group, First Venture Investment), the UK (Arab Bankers Association, United Gulf Management Ltd), Bahrain (United Gulf Bank, Kuwait Asian Bank), Switzerland (Banque Cramer), Singapore (Sasson Holdings), and within Kuwait (Kuwait Computer Company, Kuwait University Administrative Sciences College), alongside credentials including a B.Sc. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from USC (1983), completion of Harvard Business School's PMD (1994), an AIBD Diploma (1986), and a Securities Industry Certificate from the New York Institute of Finance (1984).


Mohammed Abu Dawood is currently Chairman of the Advisory Board at BMG Financial Group. He is a veteran in the industrial and retail sectors for the past 30 years, with representation on the boards of leading family offices across KSA.
